Airfreight Costing and Quoting

To enable us to provide you with an airfreight quote we need to know each item dimensions in centimetres (length x width x height) and the actual weight.

This is because airlines calculate freight rates by either volumetric weight or by actual weight, depending on whichever is higher

For calculating the volumetric weight is to multiply an item’s dimensions in cm then divide by 6000 for example The volume is for a package that is 50cm x 50cm x 50cm is 125,000 / 6000 = 20.83kgs

If the volumetric weight is higher than the actual weight of the product, the volumetric weight becomes the chargeable weight.

Airfreight fluctuate regularly and are difficult to predict so all quotations are done on a case by case basis.
